I think Emory is slightly higher ranked and harder to get into. My kid looked at both schools and left the tour at Tufts bc the info session and tour were so lackluster. Had a great tour at Emory but you have to be ok being in Atlanta.

What's wrong with Atlanta?

+1 for those who haven’t visited Emory…other than being in what’s seems like a somewhat conservative state, do students spend a lot of time in Atlanta or mainly on campus? And is Atlanta not like a liberal Austin in Texas?

No, Atlanta is not like Austin.

Atlanta is better, bigger, more diverse, more of a party scene, and more jobs.

We visited Emory with not so high expectations. Loved the school, campus and Atlanta area. Super impressed with internship opportunities. DC has enrolled for the Fall.

The campus is no where near downtown, although students can get there easily enough. A DC analogy would be Chevy Chase or Bethesda. Moises is pretty dead socially so hopefully those wanting some fun do leave campus.

You don't need to be street smart to get around Druid Hills, but do need to be if going out at night downtown.
