With two children, one is 17 years old (would be heading to college later this year) and another 11 years old. We need to buy a vehicle as one we currently use got totaled. This would be our only car.
We are thinking of NX vs RX. What would you recommend? |

RX. I have one and it’s big enough for your needs yet still fine to navigate tighter spaces like a parking garage (especially if you get the 360 camera).
You’d have a hard time fitting 4 people plus everyone’s luggage in the NX, unless you are all petite and minimalists. Note there are different seat styles depending upon which trim of RX you get, so try them all out at the dealer. |

Depending on the (physical) size of your family, I cannot imagine more than 3 people in an NX. It would just feel claustrophobic.
My family is pretty tall - 12 (already 5'10') and 16 yo - and even our RX feels tight (like a Honda Accord with a cargo area) with 4 of us in it, honestly. Front is great, back is tight. I think it would be difficult to take more than an overnight or two in terms of luggage (1 bag/person). |
