It's really horrific that the Dad found out exactly what happened to his kid when the kid's friends sent him the videos (that had been posted online)

Good. Too bad the money won't come from the administrators directly- maybe that would make them take safety seriously

Good. The fact that they didn't call emergency services should be a crime.

Nobody at the school bothered to tell me the extent of what happened. I had to carry him to the ER to find out, and then get them to look into it.”

And the school knew it was a planned attack.

one of the parents of one of the attackers had called the school and warned them of the attack before it happened.

That parent tried to do the right thing and couldn’t get help (I’m guessing they couldn’t control him/keep him from leaving)

How much $$ is usually in this sort of settlement ? Six figures? Seven?

How embarrassing is the discovery and how scared are they that the family will take it to trial and air everything in open court? If it was me, I'd hire an hourly not contingency attorney and tell them seven figures or a jury can decide

Why be scared. Seems like there are 3 sides to every story. I hope the kid is squeaky clean.

He doesn't have to be "squeaky clean." It was negligence on the part of Patriot High school staff.

The principal of the school allowed his son, who was facing charges for raping a student at Patriot, to work at the school while charges were pending. None of this comes as a surprise.

It's mind boggling that none of the news outlets have picked up this story.

NP. Can you please elaborate? I'm new to this story. Is there literally no coverage of this?

Not that I’ve seen on any news outlets, even local ones.

You can look at Virginia circuit court records and see. There is also a thread on Reddit (Nova subreddit)

Administration should be prosecuted for endangering the life of the victim. That would wake them up.
Let’s just face it: They hate kids.
