google:
The Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management is indeed a unique and prestigious program at Cornell University. The overall acceptance rate for the Dyson School tends to be lower than the overall Cornell acceptance rate. While the overall acceptance rate for Cornell hovers around 7-10% in recent years, the acceptance rate for Dyson specifically has been as low as 3% in some years, making it one of the most competitive programs within Cornell. Keep in mind that these numbers can fluctuate based on factors like the number of applicants and available spots. https://www.collegevine.com/faq/27779/dyson-school-acceptance-rate |
| Dyson ED bump is real. But don’t have numbers. We’ve seen good students but nowhere near top students get in ED. But this is a NYC feeder |
I don’t think these numbers are at all correct. |
No dog in this fight but i've seen crazy things in collegevine faq answers. |

Poetsandquants will be very accurate. Dyson after Wharton and ahead of Stern seems exactly right. Dyson has long been a very difficult admit. It's the toughest school to get into at Cornell, even more so than Engineering. There will be some turbulence in admissions percentages across the board for the next year or two. A lot of schools are transitioning from Test Optional to Test Mandatory and that impacts the number of applicants. I think Brown was down 20 percent for that reason alone. Whether the admissions rate for Dyson is 4 percent or 6 percent this year doesn't really matter. It's a difficult admit for everyone. |
| Hi my kid went to Cornell (not Dyson). The schools' admission results (when I say schools I mean each college at Cornell e.g. Dyson, Arts and Science, ILR, Human Ecology (they changed their name recently), etc. have their historical results published in Cornell's annual report. I recall Dyson was like 5 percent and was the hardest from what I recall. |
