Hi, we have 9-10 days to travel over the summer and I would like to combine 3 night in London with the rest in a beach location. Thoughts? Traveling with teens. |
Beach location in the UK or elsewhere in Europe? |
Sorry, not in the UK. Thanks! |
How far away would you go from London? Beaches in Europe that are close (France, Spain, Italy) are not amazing like Caribbean beaches, so I’d pick somewhere that you’d like for other reasons as well as the beach, if that makes sense. So e.g. in the south of France there are areas with amazing restaurants and nightlife, you could do day trips to villages or go to art museums etc. You may not want to spend many full days on the actual beach, is what I am saying. |
Mallorca |
Plenty of nice beaches in France/Italy/Spain with a quick flight from LHR. |
Skegness |
Stop in Bermuda on the way home.p |
Most beaches in Europe aren’t that great.
Maybe look into one of the Greek islands |
Are you from dc? United has a new nonstop flight to Nice. Fly to London and back from Nice multiple nice beach towns along The Côte d'Azur |
Good idea! Note that the Nice flight is 4 days a week so may have to search multiple days. |
Canary Islands |
Portugal |
Oostende in Belgium is not bad. You can take the Eurostar to Brussels, which has a lot of fun stuff to see. Oostende is a daytrip from a lot of cities in Belgium. Touristy, but waffles aplenty. |
+1. You could do 2 nights in Lisbon and the rest in the Algarve or Comporta. Or fly to Seville for a couple nights and then do Malaga/Marbella. |
