UVA Early Decision notification - Dec. 15th at midnight?

| Our daughter is counting the days to hearing on her UVA ED. Do the decisions get emailed or do they appear in the portal? My guess is she'll want to check at midnight! Will they come out then or later in the day on the 15th? |

| It’s a Sunday so I’ve seen speculation that they might actually release them on the 13th. |

| Nothing comes out at midnight. Some schools release mid-afternoon while some do it in the evening. |

In past years results have come out on Friday at 5pm I think. We are anxiously awaiting results here too! Good luck! |

This is what DeanJ replied on another thread earlier today when someone was asking when they will be released....it will most likely be the week before the 15th. They do not release on weekends.
"I just posted this on another thread: On the admission blog, just look at December posts for ED, January/February posts for EA, and March posts for RD. I started that blog in 2005 (hence the old URL), so there's a significant history there. Just remember that volume drives the release date. We won't rush the process to hit a certain date. We've notified on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in the past." |

Possibly! They will announce it I'm sure on their social media and admissions blog a couple days in advance. I'm checking them religiously. LOL. Good luck!!! |

This was our experience as well. It was early and definitely on a friday and at 5:00 - as if admissions said "ok, quick! hit the button and run for the doors so we don't have to pick up the phones" |
