| Is there anything in between rec and travel in Arlington? ADP is for younger kids and travel might be too intense for our family. He is becoming frustrated by the low skill/effort level of his rec team though, please help! |
| ADP goes through age 12 doesn't it? Maybe try McLean travel? It's less intense. |

“Travel” means a multitude of things- from super high level intensity to practice twice a week where only 1/2 the team shows up.
Find the latter. |
Or pickle ball. That’s less intense too. |
Agree with this, OP. Lower level teams at every club are not intense at all. |
| MSI Classic if you can find a team that practices in Bethesda. More competitive than Rec, no travel (all games in Montgomery County, which I realize is probably traveling a little bit for you) |
| pick a different sport |
Nothing between Rec and Travel, however, Travel has different levels, training times per week and travel distance for games. Travel is a huge commitment but unless you give up on the sport, your little one will probably always be frustrated in Rec. Talk to someone in Travel and ask them about the options... |

Look at clubs with third or fourth team in your age group. SYC's third team is > rec and their fourth team is about the same level as rec. There will be traveling but it will be more local.
Unless you are saying you're not ready for travel due to the financial commitment? Well... you get what you pay for. Unless you can have your player play up a year in rec? |
This. If they're in rec now, I don't think they'll be going to far off places like the top team. They might be driving a half hour and have plenty of local games. There are levels to travel. |
