Rehab facility run by private equity

Just visited MIL in one of these places post hip fracture.

Place hadn't been painted in years. Beds and sheets looked decades old as well. Smell. Mediocre food at best.

I am in my 50's.

Is this our future?

Yes. I plan on being super nice to my kids and hope they will let me live in an ADU or MIL apt near them when I'm really old.
