Anyone paying for Gmail space now?

My Gmail account is at 99% storage space even after cleaning out files because I have stored photos, PDFs, etc. Are you paying for gmail storage? Are there better alternatives?

I moved photos and saved videos to my icloud. I do pay for storage there. I just didn't want to pay for two e-storage accounts.

I created a filter for all store emails stashed around my inbox/archived messages then deleted several hundred thousands of them and got all my space back.

I work in cloud and I know that storage costs $$$ so it’s a false expectation that all this stuff should be free. I’d actually be fine with paying for this type of thing and NOT having Google take/sell my data! But yeah, I pay an annual fee

I pay. It’s not that much money. Worth it to me.

I haven't yet. I just downloaded all the big movies and older photos to my computer, which is backed up on some fancy system that DH set up (and probably cost more than twenty years of $1.99/mo Google storage.... but we already have it, so might as well use it).

I’ve been deleting junk emails as I go the years, so I haven’t seen these notices. I’d be fine paying $2 a month for the service.
