Going to be in Santa Fe/ABQ for a week and wondering what areas are must see. Thanks |
Meow Wolf and the artist galleries |
Santa Fe national park and the historic district. |
The Plaza (artisan market downtown) and the Georgia O’Keefe museum. Lots of art galleries and stores downtown. Excellent food as well.
If you happen to go in the summer then the opera as well. |
I am planning to go next week so should I expect weather to change a lot?
|
Santa Fe just had 6 inches of snow. Fall is over. Highs will be in the 40s next week. |
Spent 6 days in Santa Fe last month. Spend some time at the galleries on Canyon Road. Check out the Indian and artifact museums on Museum Hill. Hike Sun Mountain. Go to Georgia O'Keefe museum. Take a long day trip drive up to Taos. Book the Santa Fe walking tour offered by Ana Pacheco. Visit St. Francis Cathedral. Go to the rooftop bar at La Fonda. Book some amazing dinners - Boca, Sassella, Sazon, La Plazuela. |
Snow or not, OP, try to enjoy your time if you can't change it.
What about ballon flight? They are very big there. |
balloon rides are awesome. |
Balloon flights happen in Albuquerque, not Santa Fe. |
We just got about 10 inches of snow, but it will be gone by next week. It's going to be cold and sunny, typical Santa Fe winter. |
Go up to Taos and see the Pueblo. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check days/times it’s “open,” as it’s changed a lot since the pandemic closing. |
In addition to these good ideas: 1) spa/massage at Ten Thousand Waves (more atmospheric at night) 2) breakfast/brunch at Pasquals - get the Huevos Motuleños Xmas style, you’re welcome ![]() |
is it asian massage? May be with happy ending? |
Kid or no kids?
Sandia Peak tramway is fun in Albuquerque. The historic area is also nice to wander around, if you do have kids there is a fun science center and cultural center there too. |
