Middle school DC says scores will be adjusted to higher scores

If many in the county/state get low marks on that subject. Is this really true? We are new to MS so I am curious why the county or state adjusts scores to higher?

If you are asking if MCPS grades on a curve to adjust grades, the answer is no. That is expressly prohibited by regulation. See p. 11:

The following grading practices are prohibited: ...
b) Forcing grades into a normal frequency distribution or any other kind of curve that compares students in relation to others.

Maybe your DC means that the 3/10 the teacher entered will be updated to 5/10 to comply with the 50% rule?
