computer recs for middle school students?

What kind of laptop or Chromebook works best with MCPS programs? DC is in 6th grade at a school that has not assigned Chromebooks and keeps them on a cart. I'd like to get something to keep at home that DC can use to check Canvas and continue working on assignments as needed.

Ask your school's Assistant Principal if your kid can borrow a Chromebook to use at home for the entire school year. In the past students didn't have to return the Chromebook until they finished 8th grade. Then they received another Chromebook in HS. Not sure if it's still the same policy now.

All laptops work equally well. MCPS is website based.

Anything works fine even Mac’s.
