Help Document the Jackson-Reed Schedule for 2024-25

Does your child go to Jackson-Reed?  Many students have been having to navigate lines or slow responses to emails as part of trying to find information or change their schedule. A master list of all the classes offered and at what times would be very helpful as students could work with parents to figure out their options. A group of parents/students who are trying to help with tech solutions, started asking for this last spring, but there have been issues in providing a clean list this school year.

So, the school's website club is trying to create one based on student input. We have already started a basic one but we need more data! Interested in helping?  Submit your child's schedule at the link below- no names will be associated with the data!

The school counselors have access to this already as it is part of the scheduling program, however they do not regularly make it available to the student body because just because a class is offered does not mean there are spaces in that class available. Usually the classes are over enrolled which makes switching difficult.

NP: True, but this seems like information that can only be helpful to students and families in knowing what they might be able to request. I have another high schooler at a smaller DCPS high school, and the kids collect this info from each other so they can target their schedule requests to their guidance counselors.

Agreed. It encourages students to be proactive and should save guidance counselors time.

Great idea but it looks like only a handful of kids have filled it out. Maybe try asking the kids do distribute it on their discord chats or send it directly to the teachers and ask them to fill in their classes.
