| So I keep hearing that everyone who visits italy eats pasta and doesn’t gain weight because so healthy. What would be a brand I could buy in us that is the real deal. I am open to ordering online if not available in stores. Thank you |
That's BS, people visiting Italy are likely not gaining weight because they're walking tons more than they normally do. That said, I like Setaro. |
| I think it’s more about the portion sizes |
| I make my own fresh pasta. |
| I buy pasta made in Italy at raader joes, world market or Costco but I don’t think it makes a difference. I’m still gaining weight! |
| It's the portion sizes and extra walking, not that it's made in Italy. Which also doesn't matter since the stuff available for export to US is different than what they sell in Italy. Same for German stuff--it's different when it's made for export. |
| It's funny that this has become such a belief -- someone posted on X the other day that Europeans also have a whole social media thing about how they lose weight when they visit the US. The secret ingredient is vacation. You're on vacation. |

Hint, op, Italians don't eat half a kilo of pasta daily.
Also, tourist walk. When I was in Rome I walked 25K steps in one day. |
You and your common sense. SMDH |
| De Cecco, widely available and reasonably priced. But as others have noted, portion control is key. |
They eat cupfuls, not bowlfuls. And walk a lot more. There’s no magic pasta in Italy, LOL. |
