any hotmail users out there?

Yes, I'm old. I have a hotmail address.

So last night at around 10pm, my entire inbox disappeared.
At 1016pm, I got a new email and new emails seem to be coming in today just fine.
last night finally some emails started coming back but like none from yesterday before 1016pm, a couple from August, July, and June -- NO emails from Jan - June 2024, a few from 2023 to back 2021, a bunch from 2020, and then earlier years.
Folders are fine.
Just so.many.missing inbox emails.
Looks the same on my PC, the app on my phone, and mobile phone browser.
I contacted the help center but could take up to 24hrs before they respond.

Anyone else have an issue?

I am a hotmail user too LOL. I have a gmail but my old hotmail is the easiest.

My issue is that the hotmail 98% of the time WILL NOT show gmail emails. Not in spam, not anywhere. They just don't make it to me. I can email them, but if they reply, I never see it. I really should just give it up...

Never had your issue, but hopefully they all show up!

I had a hotmail account for years. It was my primary account. One day, I noticed a drop on the amount of emails that were coming into the account. I would typically get 50-60 emails a day then all of a sudden it dropped to 3 or 4. I spent ages trying to figure it out, but never could. It was like all of the messages were being filters out, but when I checked the settings that was not the case. I reached out to Yahoo support but was not able to figure it out. In the end I was so worried about missing out on messages that I closed the account and switched to gmail.

OP here -- it appears that most everything went into my Trash folder. But there is now so much in the trash, I'm having a hard time fishing through what I wanted to be there vs what I need to pull to a new folder. Sigh.

I’m a Hotmail user and have grown so frustrated that I’m done with it. First over the last 5 years, I’ve had a number of emails disappear or never make it to my inbox (I do check junk). I have gmail but I have 2 Hotmail addresses I’ve had since around 2000 and haven’t wanted to give them up. Now I have an issue with email using my computer. I can see my emails but when i click to read and respond they are so zoomed in I can’t make things out. It’s a mess. I tried different browsers and adjusting settings. I’m using the Microsoft/hotmail website rather than outlook because I don’t have outlook on my Mac so maybe that’s the issue. I can still use the app on my phone without issue but my older eyes would prefer to use the computer for longer/important correspondence. This is likely the end of Hotmail for me.

Not surprising you didn’t have any luck asking yahoo for help with hotmail.
