Rejected by Dartmouth but admitted into Yale, Princeton, Brown, UPenn, Cornell, Duke, and UCLA???

How is this possible when Dartmouth is the least prestigious of these schools?

The same person was rejected by Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia. Is Dartmouth trying to say it is on par with these other schools? LMAO.

Surely someone admitted into Yale and Princeton should be able to get into Dartmouth easily.

Dartmouth is literally not even in the top 100 best schools like seriously.

This is actually common because Dartmouth is really small. If you go on youtube and check decision reactions, it's common for many students to get into really good schools and then get rejected from Dartmouth. It is also common for other ivies to reject a student and then they get into Dartmouth. It's not an exact science.

Dartmouth is looking for a specific kind of kid. They're not interested in the STEM bots that shot-gun all the Ivies.

A kid who applies to all those schools is probably not all that interested in Dartmouth. Why bother accepting someone who isn’t likely to attend at all, when there are many other kids who are just as bright who really want to go there?

Well that's the thing. They don't know that.

What if Dartmouth had a better FA package? Not everyone is a DCUM. Desperate people will adapt to the environment. A kid from poverty will accept a better FA package from Dartmouth even if they have an acceptance from Harvard. Who cares if the two are different. People are trying to get decent jobs. So that's why I say it is discriminatory.

My kid got into 2 Ivies (not Dartmouth), Hopkins, Georgetown, a few T20s/T15s, but was WL at Villanova and Tufts.

My kid was WL at Princeton, rejected at Dartmouth and accepted Yale.
