Makes me sad. I loved him and Marlo Thomas together. They were such a great couple.

I have very early memories of Donahue being on TV and when the topic was racy, he would tell viewers to send their kids out of the room. I was so curious to know what they were talking about!

This make me sad. I spent a good deal of my childhood as a latchkey kid watching him. I learned so much from that show, probably half of it inappropriate!

I actually went to a taping once but didn’t get to ask a question. Just writing this reminds me of Phil Hartman’s imitation of Donahue, it was spot on.

My mom loved watching him, for years.
And I thought of her today when I heard of his passing!
