Help!
I have various allergies (not sure what they all are but rose and chamomile are two, mostly I avoid scented products). I use Clinique makeup. I am looking for a new moisturizer. It needs to be scent free and non allergenic. It would be nice if it had some lifting or dewrinkle properties. Years ago I used Prescriptives Comfort Cream but it was discontinued. I used Clinique Repairwear Uplifting for what seems to be decades, but it's discontinued. I tried the SPF "replacement" and it made my skin red and blotchy even without sun and smelled bad. I then got Clinique Smart Clinical Repair face and eye creams in the purple jars. Epic fails. Both made my skin itch and I got refunded. Now I have the low end Clinique yellow lotion. It doesn't do much and I can't tell if that's what makes my eyes itch now or it's allergies. Trying Cetaphil today to see. That doesn't bother me. Does anyone have a face product to recommend? I am over 70. Price not a major concern. Thanks! |

I have very sensitive skin and have been using la roche posay for a while and quite enjoy it. I think what I'm using is actually a hand lotion, but I just love it for my face. I've tried their actual face lotion and prefer this one.

I live by Obagi Hydrate - totally unscented, feels really good on my extremely sensitive skin:

LOL ! I read this post quickly as "anti-face wrinkle cream". |

I used the yellow clinique in my 20's. I don't think it's enough for me at an older age.
Very happy with L'occitane Immortelle Divine Cream. https://www.loccitane.com/en-us/immortelle-divine-cream-27DC050I23.html If you're in MD, there's a shop at Montgomery Mall. |

Thanks. Bookmarked all, researching.
I agree the yellow stuff was when I was 30 something. |

Vanicream is my favorite. I like obagi and La roche posay is good too, but the vanicream daily moisturizer is my all time favorite. Don’t hold the low price against it.

Last winter I had pretty bad rosacea and found the Toleriane line from La Roche Posay: there's a day cream and a night cream. They're expensive, but have done the job without any reactions.

+1 I’m years into using this and don’t know how many jars. Of course that’s no guarantee it won’t bother OP’s skin. I’ve tried the Dr. Rogers and found it underwhelming. I have used Chanel’s La Solution 10 de Chanel and remember liking it well enough but price is a concern for me so a $115 bottle of lotion isn’t a frequent treat. https://www.chanel.com/us/skincare/p/141035/la-solution-10-de-chanel-sensitive-skin-cream/ La Roche Posay Cicaplast is go good during a red flare up. Clinique’s Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is wonderful, too. The rest of their Moisture Surge line is decidedly meh. And of course there’s always just using good old Aquaphor, Vaseline or CeraVe ointment as sparingly or as thick as your skin needs. |

Op, do you feel like the cream use has kept your skin more youthful?
I do think a cream that is a smidge sticky could exacerbate allergies by clinging to allergens but I would switch soon as that irritation it's causing can be aging too. |
| I use Paula's Choice Omega Moisturizer. |

Different poster. I’m not that sensitive, but am very dry and my face gets tight if not well moisturized. I tried Dr Rogers and I don’t know why, but it irritated me. I do like the Dr Jart products. Check out this product at Sephora.com - Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin™ Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream - 1.7 oz / 50 mL
