Have you tried using air tags to track a car?

An iPhone will tell you if an unknown to you AirTag is traveling with you. Happened to my son. It was a girl on his bus with an air tag. But if you are in your own car and get that message, you’d know someone is trying to track you.

Yes, I have an airtag in the car my son uses. He just started driving and I want to know where the car is. He knows it's in there.

It doesn’t happen for a while and only if the AirTag’s owner isn’t there.

As a teacher I have seen it happen when parents attach AirTags linked to their own phones to a kids on field trips.

Yes, it works. However, if you are using it to find your car in a parking lot, it doesn't help in a multi level lot when you've forgotten which floor you are on.

If you use an iPhone why don’t you just share locations w him? Does he know you have him air tagged?
