I have always loved cottage cheese but was pretty boring with it so I am LOVING its resurgence. Eating it in unexpected ways now as I am trying to eat low carb/high protein.
Currently eating hardboiled eggs, cottage cheese and diced avocado with salt and pepper. So good! I also have loved the cottage cheese wraps that are made with just eggs and blended cottage cheese, baked in the oven. I also eat it with protein chips for a huge dose of protein. I've seen lots of other ideas - next one I want to try is blending cottage cheese to make a higher protein egg salad. Any other novel uses for it? |
I am boring...love it with fruit. My mom used to put it in pancakes though. I should look for a recipe. |
I make a dip with herbs and blended cottage cheese. |
Oh I just recently discovered the joy of blueberries mixed with cc. So good! |
I made “flatbread” with eggs and cottage cheese spread on a pan and baked. Then used it for a protein rich wrap with turkey and avocado |
it is great with all fruit: watermelon, fresh peaches, plums, and yes…berries. |
I put it on toast with chili crisp. |
I like it mixed with everything bagel seasoning. I dip sliced cucumber in it. |
How do I make myself like it? I like ricotta and marscapone but unfortunately not cottage, which is supposed to be healthier. |
Have you tried the Good Culture brand? It’s the only one I can eat. I LOVE Good Culture cottage cheese but cannot eat any other brand of it. |
I use cottage cheese, instead of ricotta in my vegetable lasagna. I also like cottage cheese with a dollop of apple butter. |
Had it with mango this morning. |
+1 Good Culture is the best, Daisy is the worst. I love cottage cheese and could barely eat Daisy the one time I got it. I like mixing in things with a crunch, so berries with a few nuts or everything bagel seasoning with cherry tomatoes. |
I eat it with guacamole and harissa. I would eat it all on toast, but no bread for me, so cottage cheese it is.
I adore large curd but it's impossible to find. I think I'm the opposite of people with texture issues! ![]() |
To those of you who have an issue with the curd texture, food process the container. It then resembles ricotta cheese. |
