Idiot, MLS academy has nothing to do with mlsn p2p clubs.

You double idiot.

MLS Academies play same competitions than MLSN Pay-To-Play clubs.

Example: Chicago Fire (MLS Academy) and St Louis Scott Gallagher (Pay-To-Play club) play MLS Next 1.

Like this, dozens of examples.

The reason why you are an idiot is: MLS Academy stays in BY and nobody questions it. MLSN P2P clubs will switch to SY. You mingle them as one shows you are a dimwit.

You triple idiot.

Only a moron can say “MLS Academy has nothing to do with MLSN p2p clubs”, when both type of clubs, teams, or whatever play the SAME competition.

Come on, take a pill and go to bed, enough ridiculous for you today. Try better tomorrow.

I am obviously a higher class than you as my kid is currently playing in LAFC MLS Academy team. You are just peasants. I give you the insider info. You can still believe in your MLS P2P BY wonderland.

MLSN can take advantage of its biobanding rule to setup SY team in 25/26. GA will introduce biobanding and do the same.

I don’t get this at all. Why are the SY ECNL crazies wishing so hard that MLSN is going to be SY too?

They haven’t made an announcement, because they don’t need to, there is no change to announce.

MLS, the parent org for MLSN, very early on was clear it was BY centric.

USSF created the multiple option solution BECAUSE leagues like MLSN didn’t want to move to SY.

This isn’t hard to understand. The leagues that wanted SY have already announced…USYS, AYSO and USCS…rec+states+ECNL.

The leagues that don’t have anything to announce, havent announced anything….ODP, GA, MLSN, USSSA.

I am perfectly happy with ECNL being different, SY, and doubling down on college not pro. I don’t need MLSN to affirm my league by following suit.

It’s an honest question though, how can they stay BY when all of youth soccer will be changing to SY? Like how would that work?

Because of biobanding they do not follow a strict age group structure. So for them it doesn’t matter. They can still put kids on whatever teams they want essentially.

It’s very different than the other leagues that are strict with age group team structures.

The issue is MLS2 is basically an EA which the teams play HS soccer. So it is a reasonable assumption MLS2 will also play HS soccer, so it will transit to SY. For BY with last hope that MLS still stay in BY, it will mean club has to maintain 2 system for MLS and MLS2 where players will move around. This just sounds very messy.

My club just joined MLS2 and the rules around with age groups have not been sent out yet. If it’s BY plus Biobanding that’s what they will do. If it’s SY that’s what they will do. My club director said it’s not that big of a deal either way. They will figure it out.

Agreed, not that big of a deal for club directors. They will use their insider for info to lock in as many kids as possible no matter what.

An ECNL or MLSN/GA announcement could breathe some life into this forum

I am starting to think that any transitional rules for ECNL will be announced after teams are formed. These administrators might not want kids shopping for clubs more so than they already are.
