| For older kids who still have occasional night accidents (heavy sleeper) do you have any preference for what nighttime underwear you get them? Not looking for advice on wetting alarms or medication, our doctor has ruled out any underlying medical issues. |
| Goodnites, this is the only thing I've heard of for older kids for this. |
| we use Goodnites they are some bit noticeable but its fine. |
My 11 year old has the same issue. |
| We used the target brand of good nites. They are cheaper. A striped pattern. |
| there’s been a few times we’ve been out of pull-ups and had to use a regular diaper, thankfully my kid is skinny |
| Goodnites were a lifesaver for me growing up .. sleepovers , scouts , etc |
I had to wear them till I was 8-9ish , and I had a few accidents every now and then till I was like 11ish. Now my daughter is 6, and wets the bed almost every night, she might have a few dry nights a month. |

We tried a bunch of different brands and there isn't much of a difference.
At the time, Walmart was the cheapest and worked just as well as the name brands. It looks like there is an Amazon brand now as well. https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Brand-Nighttime-Underwear-Hypoallergenic/dp/B09W2Q2YC6/ref=sr_1_12?crid=UC25KNTUPA1&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.I1LbL9LUzZ2FR2vUvaf8OT5EZuelpwOzpKIW6m9zYcKFxQuvCLHatofcogQ_V3VggsUVkaWuQiuTVFol1RvSlA2MhIjN-7K6LVIXarDSnGfmj9GcOUT3XY4Ea7y-_w_F3gmJvCcw-5HOXy1m0t5moZTZeoTPoSLvzHDJNZMeMrJZg6ag-AWUFQwyRg7g4t0z0GWRXxA1lpLfItBpjA4SUHBM4OtTXo2BIQlC2M0QLfMCdg5trnoaCB2V_Z5fixUrNRUJeKOU6r3HRcg467aZbDin3kV3eIi3XuHYao3GaMY.WjpejkuD43LivMBLlpYvP-eU9xz8jgMJa5F2e6h50qQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=good%2Bnights&qid=1719431161&sprefix=good%2Bnight%2Caps%2C73&sr=8-12&th=1 Adult smalls work if your kid is bigger. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Assurance-Women-s-Incontinence-Postpartum-Underwear-XS-Maximum-Absorbency-72-Count/1425143745 |
| We used large good nights. FWIW, our pediatrician also ruled out an underlying issue, but a contributing issue was discovered at age 10 (in addition to being a deep sleeper). |
| Is there any difference between the pull-ups for toddlers and the ones for older kids like “Goodnites”? |
Yes, Pull ups are for training so they don't hold a lot, and its only for kids up to 50lbs. Even if your DC is skinny they won't a lot so they will leaked. Goondnites are meant for night time so they hold a lot. ( its mostly a money grab) |
We’ve used Pampers overnights before and they’ve never leaked. Goodnites are still just another kind of diaper. |
| Does your kid shower at night before bed or in the morning? |
| For kids still wearing the Goodnites do you usually buy them at the store or online? |
