For the past two months I’ve been running, training for an event later this fall. I’m also hoping to lose 15lb I’ve been carrying around in the process, so I’ve been taking measurements.
I’m down 6lb. I FEEL and LOOK a little thinner, but I’ve not lost any inches in my legs. The odd thing is, I LOOK like I have, and my pants fit much better. Does this mean I’m just gaining muscle while simultaneously losing fat? |
6 pounds in two months is really something to be proud of |
Probably. How do your clothes fit? That's how I can tell. For example I however around a +/- 6 pound weight. When I'm exercising more, eating better, the scale doesn't move but my sz 27 jeans look awesome.

Dimensions can be hard to measure unless you’ve lost a good percentage of weight. 6 pounds on a 200 pound person will be nothing compared to 120 pounds. Look up the paper towel effect. |
Trust the pants test! |
