Does anyone have any experience with two birds Old Town Location? We are thinking about sending our baby there when he is about 10 months old. Thank you!

Bump on the question above - any intel on Two Birds Old Town? Our one year old has been home with a nanny, but we'd like to transition him to a daycare in Alexandria so he has more activities.

Systemic issues per VDSS and found physical and verbal abuse.

If that doesn’t deter you, make sure you have PTO at least once a month when they close for their professional development days to learn mostly about art it seems because the curriculum focuses mainly on that and falls behind other aspects compared to most daycares.

Agreed. No one should attend Two Birds. It is an unsafe place and the owners give very little thought to security, safety, and how their teachers behave around children, which led directly to multiple classes of toddlers being abused and neglected for months. Teachers quit rather than fulfill their legal duty to report the abuse. The situation there is unfathomable and as long as the owners keep deleting reviews that share the truth, keep hiding the story from families that attend their other schools, and keep lying to themselves about what happened this will not get better. Your children deserve more than this.

Considering the massive abuse, it’s shocking the they’re legally allowed to stay open. Slapping babies in the face is horrific. It doesn’t matter how many cameras they promise to install.

ANY parent sending their child to either location is insane. Who is the owner?

The owners had no experience in early education and this is the result. “Entrepreneurs” who wanted to disrupt something and had so much hubris they never bothered to make safety plans or even considered what could happen to the BABIES in their care. No one was watching the teachers. The owners admitted it openly to parents in meetings- that they never had a plan because they never thought this would happen. These people need to find new careers so no more families are harmed.

The problem here is that there was a culture of keeping quiet and that there wasn't enough trust in management for for other teachers to speak out. Not to mention that the other teachers who saw this didn't care enough about the kids to report the abuse as mandated reporters. Most child care centers are owned by entrepreneurs or even large corporations. The key is that the owners hire experienced management who put the welfare of the kids first and instill that value in the staff.

Why is no one being held accountable?
Child abuse is a crime.
