Semen analysis abstinence period

My husband is kind of a p**n addict and has trouble going more than a few days of abstinence and the test instructions say to have a 4 day window before giving a sample. If he gives in to the temptation say 24 hours before our appointment will we need to reschedule? He says he’ll try but is used to doing it every day
