The Auburn School is excited to announce new full scholarship opportunities. Auburn Leaf Scholarships will provide over $500,000 in funding for new students. The Auburn Leaf Scholarships provide full tuition remission for students to attend for the duration of their time at Auburn (up to nine years). Auburn will offer one Auburn Leaf Scholarship per year to new students enrolling at Auburn for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years. The application deadline is September 1, 2010 for 2010-2011 and February 1, 2011 for 2011-2012. Complete information on the scholarship program is also available on the website (www.theauburnschool.org). Scholarships are available for either the Herndon, VA or Silver Spring, MD campuses. Auburn seeks to be a national model school for students with challenges in social skills, communication, pragmatic language and organization, such as Asperger’s syndrome. |
Are the scholarships need-based or merit-based? Or something else? |
They are merit-based. "The Scholarships will be awarded to the successful applicants who best display the qualities of an Auburn student including high potential for social and academic growth." This is separate from the regular financial aid program. |
