Roscoe Nix new principal

Just saw on MoCo Show that the newly appointed principal of Roscoe Nix...how did MCPS not investigate this more thoroughly????? You'll notice all the principals say "current principal at..." but his just says "principal in DCPS". Because he quit...Mid year...Melodramatically...During a parent meeting held to discuss some of the many teacher and family grievances about him...When realized he had no way out...

Here is a thread about it, but it only includes a tiny portion of the actual "dirt". Look at the last couple pages to skip a lot of the drama and see how it actually sorted out.

OP here. Forgot to finish my first sentence above with the principal's name. Should say "is Julian Pineda". Seen here as Elkin J Pineda.

Ohhh hell no. That’s a contract that needs to rescinded- now. Mcps and boe asking for trouble and again showing their true colors. I believe this is a title one school with majority Hispanic population so they give them the lousiest principal they could find. Way to go mcps.

My God. Why is MCPS so horrible at keeping bad people out of its system? How can they overlook someone coming to their school system with that kind of an exit from the last one?

They probably knew and are desperate anyway and hoping that stashing him in a school with a less high maintenance parent population than Oyster will mitigate his issues.

I am not saying this gentleman is acceptable as a MCPS principal BUT there IS a shortage of qualified, well-trained people to do the job.

So I just read thia guy applied to another principalship in March but didn't get the job for another school district. Maybe they saw something. Who hires principals in MCPS?
