Dumbest screen I can buy?

I want to buy the simplest, dumbest screen for my toddler to use to watch Amazon Prime on a flight. What’s my cheapest, most straightforward option?

I’d just get a Fire with the kidproof case. They are around $50.

How old is your toddler? My kids didn't engage in screens until past toddlerhood, but I know people have different age ranges for what that means!

Ok…. Do you have a recommendation for a product or just letting us know about family’s screen policy?

We used Kindle Fires at that age - they're pretty clunky and the interface isn't great, but it works for what you want and is not particularly useful otherwise (which was a plus, in my book).

Kindle Fire.

Kindle Fire.

But my niece won’t look at screens longer than like ten minutes. So be sure it will actually hold the kid’s attention!

Do you have an old iPad? I have an iPad 2 still going strong, for movies at least, for my 5 yo. My 10 and 12 yo have kindle fires. It doesn’t really matter device what you get- it just depends how you use them. My older kids weren’t allowed anything more than movies and eventually Minecraft until well into elementary school - we just didn’t put any other apps on there
