Does a light, non-chemically plug in air freshener exist?

This is for a guest bathroom, where the cat's litter box is currently stored. The litter box is cleaned daily, vacuumed every other day, and I generally make an attempt to keep it tidy. But still... it's a litter box space.

Does a non-chemically, light plug in air freshener exist? Or do you have a recommendation for a clean lightly scented freshener to keep the space smelling fresh?

the answer is ventilation (run exhaust and open a window) and a heap air filter.

You could do an air purifier with an active carbon filter. Active carbon is good at absorbing smells.

Keep it smelling fresh with ventilation, baking soda, vinegar, opening a window, running a hepa filter, etc. Not by masking with a plug in.

Please do not make guests share a bathroom with a litter box. Unless your goal is for them to never return.

I agree that you shouldn’t try to mask the smell. And I say that as someone who likes the occasional scented candle/essential oil diffuser! Best options:

1. Move the litter box elsewhere
2. Tiny tabletop air purifier with carbon filter
3. Hang a charcoal odor absorbing bag somewhere close to the litter box and “recharge” it monthly (needs to sit outside in sun for a few hours)

Whoa. Talk about over the top responses. Get rid of the cat so they can have the pleasure of house guests! Hah!

It isn’t clear from OP’s post if the litter box is staying in the guest bathroom.

But guests are more than welcome to stay at a hotel if they are disturbed by a cat or a litter box. We keep ours in the laundry room and I assume anyone who can’t cope not asking to stay at our house.
