What about this for breakfast?

Anonymous
Fruit bowl consisting of two small mandarins, one small apple, one medium banana, and one cup of blackberries, 1/4 cup of walnut halves/pieces.

It totals ~500 calories.

Would you think this was healthy? Lots of fiber for satiety and also fat/protein from the nuts.

Its healthy. It just seems like way too much food (for me)

It wouldn’t keep me full
For long although I agree it’s healthy.

Too much sugar and not enough protein. It’s technically healthy but I guarantee you’ll be hungry an hour later. I’d have one piece of fruit, then maybe a piece of whole grain toast with a poached egg and some smoked salmon, maybe put some spinach on it.

I guess you could call it healthy but it's really odd to eat 5 servings of fruit in one sitting. That's a lot of sugar even though it's healthy sugar, it's a lot.

I would take out some fruit and add some plain Greek yogurt or cottage cheese.

Where’s the protein?

There are less than 5 grams of protein in 1/4 cup of walnuts.

I would much rather have an egg white and cheese and some sort of protein (ham, turkey bacon) on a toasted English muffin. I eat this a lot of days - it takes less than minutes to make - and it keeps me full for a long time.

It’s healthy but agree it needs protein — at the very least, I’d add cottage cheese or yogurt.

Walnuts have protein and healthy fats.

I am not eating animal products and am eating on the model of king, prince, pauper - most calories at breakfast, fewer at lunch, light supper.

Maybe I should add granola and skip the apple - have it with lunch instead.

I’m assuming you have no blood sugar issues, because that is a hell of a lot of fructose to eat first thing in the morning.

I’d do the blackberries, a slice of something like this https://www.mynewroots.org/2013/02/the-life-changing-loaf-of-bread/ with vegan cream cheese.
