How many teachers are leaving your school next year?

| Out of curiosity, how many teachers are leaving your school next year? At my ES there is 10 that we know of so far. Im wondering if the shortage situation is going to be better or worse than last year for the county. |

| Two: One general ed teacher is retiring and one SPED teacher is leaving. |

| We have a bunch. Mostly the younger teachers who can’t afford to live here or want to try office work. |

People talk and gossip like crazy this time of year when it’s contract time. |

| 6 I know of at my school so far, even mix of young teachers leaving the profession and early retirees. Those in the middle can't afford to leave but are worried about increasing load and constant negative feedback from community/news. Our parents are mostly awesome, kids are struggling but OK...admin and VDOE ridiculous. |

Better pay and not as many emails to read from angry parents who feel entitled to verbally abuse underpaid educators. |

Most teachers are pretty open about the fact they’re leaving once they tell admin. This time of year we are all hearing from colleagues who aren’t coming back. It’s a significant number at my school, as it’s been every year since the current admin team arrived a few years ago. |
