Terrible experience at Columbia Baptist

Like many, we heard great things about Columbia Baptist and enrolled our 3 yo there after a tour. However, our experience has been awful and I wanted to share for prospective families.

The center has experienced an enormous amount of turnover since we began in August. I personally know of at least six teachers/assistants who have left, including the lead teacher for our room. We have had very minimal consistency in terms of adults in the room. It is not at all uncommon to walk into the room and see two assistants who I’ve never laid eyes on before. The director couldn’t even tell us which assistant was in the room on any given day.

It’s extremely clear that the current director is pushing out all of the strong teachers who she doesn’t like. She’s all rainbows and butterflies until there’s a problem—then she’s condescending and combative.

The school is nothing like I had hoped for and we will not be returning nor sending our youngest there. Stay far, far away from Columbia if you value a loving and consistent environment for your children.
