9th grade English- 5 paragraph essay

| Has your child had to write a 5 paragraph essay? If not what grade will they learn how to write one? |

7th grade "Advanced" English and HIGH (Social Studies.)
Maybe in 6th grade too. |

Perhaps... but 9th seems WAY too late to me. My kids are private and they cover this much earlier(4th or 5th) - that may be early but certainly everyone should be doing that NLT 7th but maybe not... |

| I think they were taught this in middle school or earlier although I'm sure the earlier lessons went in one ear and out the other. |

| There is a difference between a Middle school and high school 5 paragraph paper. If both were graded to the same standards the high school one would get a better grade. Sure your child may learn to write a 5 paragraph essay in middle school but high school is were they will learn how to make it more detailed and put together. |
