Best hair treatment for summer

Anonymous
I have coarse, frizzy (but not African American) hair that has significantly thinned due to menopause. With the humidity, it looks terrible and am wondering what is the best treatment. I've done keratin treatments in the past, but I feel they will leave my hair looking too thin. Also, I'm worried about the toxicity of these treatments. I've heard of the Cezanne smoothing treatment and the Belma treatment. Can anyone recommend if they have had one of these treatments and really liked it - and where is a good salon to get it done locally. I'm in Montgomery County.

Anyone?

I did the Cezanne treatment last summer and it really helped control the frizz. I’m planning to have it done this summer again. I got it done in old town but you can look on the Cezanne website and it’ll give you salons in your zip code.

Why can't you just use gel or other smoothing products?

I haven't found a gel or other smoothing products that work well - but I'm open to trying them if you know a product that would seem like it would work well for my hair type. I've done treatments in the past because I can just let my hair dry dry with good results or if I do blowdry, it takes half the time with the treatment.

A coconut oil mask twice a week has helped me greatly. I have naturally curly hair that gets frizzy in the humidity. The oil help me achieve some shine and minimize frizz proactively. I apply regular old coconut oil to my hair focusing on the middle and ends and then let it sit for for a few hours before washing it out and applying a conditioning mask.

Have you tried wearing it curly? It takes a while to figure out the right products and routine, but your hair will end up healthier and have less breakage than when you blow dry and straighten it.

I splurged and got the Dyson hair wrap, a game changer to fight frizz, I usually wash it every other day and use the Dyson every other time, happy with the results.
