Any current Fleet parents on here? We are moving back to the area and into our home zoned for Fleet, was wondering if the problems from COVID have been alleviated and how people are liking the school now.

What problems from Covid??

There’s a different principal from tbe COVID years if that’s what you mean by problems.

The first principal was terrible. My kids aged out, but I've heard the new one is good and I don't think anyone in the neighborhood has any concerns. It's a lovely building.

Right, what do you mean? Like virtual school, which the entire county did and was not isolated to only Fleet Elementary?

We have a 1st grader and have enjoyed the school a lot. However, I have no idea what issues you're referring to.

It’s not a very active parent/PTA community.

The current Fleet principal is the former ATS vice principal, and to the extent possible and practical she's applying all the positive things ATS is known for, like more regular and frequent feedback to parents, responsive classroom, emphasis on reading, encourage fine arts. Many other APS elementary schools do as well, but not all. The school is very well liked by our neighbors (our kids are older).

Not true at all

Fleet's fantastic. Current principal is great. The re are many kids in the neighborhood who also go, so it's a great community experience as well.

That’s great. Everyone says other schools can’t do what ATS is doing. Fingers crossed it’s successful.
