most comfortable athletic sandal

| hello. would love recommendations for an athletic sandal to wear while running around with the kids. Keens don't work for my feet. i see a lot of folx wearing Tevas, but they don't look comfortable to me. Am I wrong? Thanks. |

This is such a hard one. Birks are what is most comfortable for me, but I think you have to do some trial and error. I also have Aetrex sandals which are amazing but the style I have is platform so not great for running around.
Keens also don’t work for my plantar fasciitis, although I used to love them before pregnancy (when I first developed PF). |

| If you have a higher arch, Chacos are pretty good. Some of their footbeds are just too hard for me -- and I like a good, solid sole. So perhaps worth trying a few to compare. I wear mine hiking, kayaking, walking my dog, and occasionally around town. |

These are very comfortable. They are kind of a flip flop, but the extra straps make them stay on your feet. The straps on the sides are adjustable, which has been great for me with skinny feet.

| I used to love Tevas growing up and honestly want to go back to them. They are more comfortable than they look, especially after a few days of wearing. I do remember them having a good arch. |

| I find Tevas incredibly comfortable. I needed closed toe sandals for paddling lessons so bought Keens, but I find the Tevas more comfortable for a full day of walking, like at an amusement park or wading in a creek with the kids. The keens are heavier. |
