Anyone else scratching their head at the board and batten craze?

It looks nice, but like shiplap when it was the thing, it is over installed. It almost reminds me of tudor styling and will look very dated.

My issue is you see these videos of people using hot glue to their walls and I am thinking you are going to destroy your drywall if you take it out or when you do.

Everything is cyclical. I remember when Young House Love did it all over their second house. That had to be about 10 years ago.

This craze ended years ago. Why are you bringing this up now?
