So we are now re-defining Ivy League Schools?

Haters going to hate us cause they ain't us. |
Personally think the focus on "Ivy" is dumb but all fore expanding the list of schools that are considered desirable. |
+1, to a great degree "Ivy League" is just marketing at this point. |
100%. enough already. |
The Ivy League is a sports league with mediocre sports aside from a few useless sports no one watches. Why are people surprised when people have no interest in attending or applying? Why the obsession with labeling everything Ivy + or Ivy like. It's ridiculous, there are many great schools in the world that do not belong to a mediocre sports conference, and all will lead to great outcomes. The Ivy obsession is a mind virus. |
Nearly all sports conferences outside the Power 5 are mediocre, although I gather you only think football and basketball matter. There are far more colleges in mediocre sports conferences than not and actually the Ivy league does fairly well in national rankings in the "unwatchable" college sports such as lacrosse, hockey, soccer, crew, etc. |
Funny how others try to attach themselves to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth and Columbia.
There is only one "Ivy" designated branding of elite academics. Those 8 are it. Find an appropriate branding for the other colleges. |
Is the new Ivy League D1? |
I am just happy that UF is on the list! |
UMD College Psrk is ascending. Take note Maryland residents. Days of it being a safety school for high stats kids ( even if not a CS major) are gone. |
Indeed. Need to add the other UM schools for possible safeties - UMBC, Salisbury, etc. |
70% are D1...unlike the Ivy schools that are 100% D1. I guess a teensy bit above 70% because JHU is D1 for Lacrosse...but CMU, Emory and the remaining sports at JHU are D3. |
Poor Penn. The forgotten stepchild. |
