Mutual Release Agreement?

| A contractor did some very shoddy work on our home (in VA) and we had to have another contractor remediate it, at significant additional expense. The first contractor is willing to refund our money, about $3K, but only after we sign a "Mutual Release Agreement". What are the consequences of this? We do not intend to sue him, it's not worth it. |
