PSAT for TJ admission

Which version of the PSAT do you need to take for TJ 10th grade admission? How can you take this exam without having your school register you? As I read the College Board website only your school can arrange this test, and it cannot be done individually or privately.

Ask your student's school counselor for options

PSAT is not at all important for froshmore admissions. My child as well as 5 or 6 of friends who got admitted into 10th grade did not take PSAT. Only 1 child took it that we know of.

TJ is test optional like many elite universities.

+1. I learnt that it is the same tests the 10th and 11th graders take (PSAT/NMSQT). If you are applying to TJ then the 9th grader can take the PSAT exam. You will need to pay the school approx. $20 (not free if your DC is in 9th grade).
