Are cut-out dresses still in style?

Always nay. Even when they were supposedly in style.

Wait, why?
I think it’s cute. (NP here.)

I like it but it has to suit the wearer just right.

The pattern suggests it would be hard for most to pull off. Will look much worse in person vs. online, especially from the front.

If it looked fabulous on, and there was a suitable occasion, it doesn't have to be au courant.

I think that PP probably shops at Chicos and Talbots.

I live in NYC and have friends with fabulous shapes, amazing stylists, and bottomless budgets - they sport dresses and tops like this. It's always tasteful, but they do it.

Yes, if you're tall, very slender, and not too busty. Oh also no saggy skin whatsoever. And not too pale.

If you are shaped like the model, then yes. Otherwise, no.

I like the pink version!

Pretty dress, but I think cutouts are on the way out. They are absolutely everywhere again from higher end to Old Navy, you name it and they’ve got it! To my eye they feel a bit dated at this point, like cold shoulders felt within the first year; I hated that look!

I think they are cute and do still seem to be everyplace, so I think still in -- but PP is probably right that they will start to trend out now that they've become so common. (I have a very high end dress I bought pre-pandemic that had the cutout back, so that's already at least five years ago.)

I tend to avoid them because I feel like there aren't as many places you can wear them, so it's not a really versatile dress, but it's fine if you are looking for something you only going to wear for a few seasons and only to things like the playground, backyard bbqs, outdoor festivals, beach vacations, etc.,
