I have a small (maybe 18x24) stained glass window from the church a love one grew up (in a 300 person town) that I’m not sure what to do with.
Loved one bought it when the church was “upgraded” in the 90s and the window itself is about 125 years old, not gorgeous but sort of weird and interesting in a tiny midwestern town sort of way. Any ideas on how to use this window in my house? I don’t love it enough to do anything elaborate with one of my windows but I do like it and would like to hang or display it somewhere. |
You could hang it flat on the wall like a painting.
You could hang it out from the wall on a post, like a sign. You can hang it from the ceiling in front of a window, so the light shows through it. |
I have things I don't love, but I love the history of it. I think that makes the most interesting art. The personal provenance, if you will.

Yep, I have mine hanging in front of window |
+1. Hang it in front of a window. |
I have mine hanging as a room divider. I did move it last week to hang on the wall and that looks nice too. |
Wall art. |
Get a wall mounted 18x24 light box and build or have someone build a shadow box frame around it. If you have a room without a lot of windows hang it there. |
