No IEP what "services" should be in high-school IEP for ADHD (severe) dyslexia (3rd grade spelling) ect

We put DC in a private middle that let them use accommodations so IEP was dropped. We paid for intensive reading intervention which happened during the elective. Testing showed dx for dyslexia, dysgraphia, math oddly and ADHD.

Right now he has Wilson 4X week for 45min. They get constant redirection from teachers while not on med and on meds, beginning and end of the day teachers have to refocus more.

I think services should include push-in support for writing and math. I also assume that the accommodations being used now will be allowed in the public high school. Biggest things are audiobooks, speech to text, alternative methods of doing work (like a powerpoint instead of a physical tri-fold for science project), ect. I think they will need notes. The testing showed some sort of auditory processing weakness. (going from memory here).

Also, I think because of the intensive tutoring, DC tested average on a lot of the dyslexia stuff but I don't think the high school offers wilson. How should I address that in the eligibility meetings?

thanks.

I am confused. This is a private school. You can ask for stuff but they don't have to provide it.

You want to hope by high school that he will be done with Wilson. That should be the goal. There are only 12 levels in Wilson Reading and the 12th level doesn't correspond to grade level it is probably around a 4th or 5th grade level.

I have a child who had an IEP in High School - diagnosis OHD (ADHD)
I have a child in Middle School with an IEP - diagnosis SLD (Dyslexia)

Are you doing eligibilty? Or creating an IEP?
If I was going into an eligibility meeting, I would have a pre-written parent observations stating how I see the disability impacting school.
At home you observe:
Challenges initiating homework and long-term assignments.
Difficulty encoding (spelling) such that you need to help because spell-check can't catch the word.
Modified texts due to decoding / fluency / reading comprehension at lower than grade level.
Executive Functioning support with time and assignment management.

Why would you drop IEP if you still want services?

In public had an IEP. Went to private for a couple of years and now need to reinstate it. But the es IEP doesn’t work for 9th. Signed op
