Found a 1099 interest form after filing

I didn't get an interest form since the institution only sends digital version! It's about $90 so wondering if it's worth my time to do an amended return or wait for notification to tell me difference to pay.

IRS may do it for you and keep couple of bucks.

I don't mind paying for the interest, it's just the hassle of the whole amending process that seems annoying. As long as it's not a giant fine on top of normal tax and a % taken for late payment I would be less worried and would be OK getting a bill for the difference later.

If you used turbo tax it’s probably pretty simple to do the amendment and file the updated return…

What’s your income? How much did you pay in taxes? IRS doesn’t worry about a couple of bucks.

We had a similar experience- did an amended filing through TurboTax and it was quick and easy. I think you should amend.

Agreed. Doubt it will be more than 15 minutes. Type of thing that is so much easier now than in the days of paper forms.

If you are getting a refund then they will know about it and take it out of your refund. If you owe, then I’d amend.
