need inspiration pic for bath with pastel yellow tile

Anonymous
House came with the original 60s pastel yellow tiled hall (kids) bathroom. The tile goes up three quarters of the way. The floor is a pale yellow / white / gray mosaic ,also original. Vanity is white.

I'm having trouble imagining what I should do with the rest of the bathroom in terms of decor. I need a shower curtain and paint color. Since it's the kids bath something playful, colorful would be nice.

Need inspiration!

My old house had the same colors. I painted the walls gray (because it was 2012), and then a bright curtain and towels from IKEA.

I’ve subsequently thought the right green or even pale yellow (but paler than the title) would have looked nice, as the kids aged out of the super bright colors.

Gray and yellow go well together.
Blue and yellow

Coral pink might be nice.

Hello, it's Eye Candy here. There was a request in one of the bathroom threads a while back for vintage bathrooms. While these aren't all yellow, I hope they provide some inspiration!

You have to embrace the yellow and go full vintage decor.

If you wanted the bathroom to look like a cabana...

My house has the exact same mid century bathroom. We did Farrow & Ball’s Down Pipe on the walls, aged brass hardware, wooden floating shelves, and bright white towels, shower curtain, and bath mat. Colorful artwork pops against the dark walls.

Also, using Polyblend Grout Renew in Bright White on the yellow wall tile and in Charcoal on the floor was a huge game changer.
