I’m 41 and my forehead wrinkles are the Grand Canyon.
Is there anything that works? I get targeted ads for makeup, frownies? Anything work? |
No. Botox works amazingly well. |
Why not Botox? It’s the best solution. |
The only thing other than botox would be tretinoin. Tretinoin is better on small lines.
Even botox won't fix the grand canyon. Botox will just freeze the muscles, not fill in the wrinkles. You'd need fillers to fix it, but I don't suggest fillers. |
Botox or any other neuromodulator. And fast. If they are really deep set, nothing will help. |
botox and tretinoin |
People on Reddit/skincareaddiction love frownies! |
Take note, you should be botoxing starting in your 20s to prevent permeant damage wrinkles |
I'd do a chemical peel. Not only would it really help with fine/deep wrinkles all over your face (not just your forehead), it would also reduce/get rid of any age spots/melasma you have. |
Those may prevent wrinkles if used very regularly, but they don't do anything for wrinkles that already exist (maybe for 15 minutes but that's it). |
OP Deep canyons often require multiple treatment modalities, relaxers (ex. Botox, Jeaveau), peels, filler, etc., over time. Plastic surgery may even be required. Consider speaking with a plastic surgeon who focuses on faces. |
If the deep lines are in the middle to upper forehead, you can get filler and it works well, particularly in conjunction with Botox. I used to have a deep line that ran across the middle of my forehead. I could feel the indentation when I touched my forehead. It’s gone after a few times getting filler. The filler stays a long time. It gives you volume back. I haven’t had filler now in probably 1.5 years but it’s not even close to looking las bad as it did years ago. I get Botox every 4-5 months. Forehead is very smooth.
People will tell you filler is dangerous in the forehead but it’s fine as long as it is not between or just above the eyes. It is only used for horizontal lines in the upper forehead. |
PP. Just want to note that the filler works right away. |
OP, I gave myself botox as a birthday present when I was 45. I really disliked my "elevens" and forehead lines.
I don't get a lot, but I'm so happy with it. |
i would not get filler based on what happened to my hairdresser - his eye filler fell down his face. Filler seems not good b/c it moves around and doesn't leave. I'd rather get botox and surgery. |
