Help - What color underwear?

Anonymous
I'm headed to an event and plan to wear a navy, linen dress for the first time. The dress is not lined and few of the reviews mention that it can be a little see-through. I haven't noticed that myself though, and to be fair, it does come in several lighter colors.

It's a full day that will include time outside in the sun, as well as presenting on stage. I plan on wearing a just a bra and high-waisted, shapewear boyshorts because it will be too hot for a slip. What color do I go with nude or black? I've always been told to wear nude, but for some reason black feels like a better choice with navy, maybe?

Please help me make the right choice to literally, cover my a$$

Wear a slip.

Don't risk a see through dress when you're presenting on stage (presumably with lights?). Wear a slip, or a one-piece spanx-y something (could be lightweight, not compression) underneath. I'd say black/dark.

I would wear a slip if presenting on stage

For a dark sheer dress, I would wear dark underwear. for a lighter sheer, I'd wear nude.

An all cotton slip is no different from a lining on a linen dress. Not hot. You can find a slip on Amazon.

Nude thong… Don’t cover your bum.

Nude and +1 for a slip.

This sounds risky to be on stage in unlined linen with reviews saying it's a little see through. Practice in bright sunlight and with someone directing a bright light directly at you. Have then be brutally honest about how see through it is

Get a dark colored slip. If you also want boy shorts/shapewear, get a dark color.

YOu are sure you want to be on stage/presenting in linen? It can read so casual.

Nude. As close to your skin tone as possible. Everything else will show through - it's the contrast between your skin and the underwear color that shows up.

And since you'll be on stage, I would 100% add a slip. Nude or dark (navy/black) for that.
