Anyone with round face and short bob?

Anonymous
I am very tempted to cut my hair extremely short (for me) but am questioning whether it is a terrible idea that I would immediately regret because my face is quite round, though I do have high cheekbones.

I would love to hear from anyone who got a short haircut (between chin-length and above shoulder length) and also has a pretty round face. Did you regret how it turned out? If you liked the cut, did you give any particular direction to your stylist that helped?

I go to a hair stylist who is skilled but also pretty accommodating of requests, so I’m trying to get additional opinions before I ask him about cutting half of my hair off.

I have a similar face and I always regret going too short.

This is me, kind of.

I think between chin and shoulder actually isn't short. It's where mine looks best.

Mine needs layers, because it's also thick. So when it's short, sometimes it balloons out and makes my face look rounder. But a layered bob is fine.

I did this once and never again. It's not a good cut for round faces.

A long bob is fine. Chin length is not

The stylist cut my hair way too short last time and I ended up like this it was TERRIBLE until it grew out a little. I literally told her "please don't cut it too short at my neck" and they did! WTF.

Yuck, don't. And for heaven's sake, no bangs. You have to be a New York 9+ to pull off bangs.

She pulls it off because 1) she’s skinny in this pic and 2) the 90s (this look was in)

Don’t do it OP. Only women with delicate but chiseled features can do such short hair.

Ok all you oval faced queens, some us oblong faces have six-heads and need bangs! I have my hair similar in this, but Zendaya has a heart shaped point chin, mine is more square.

I have a round face often wear a short bob. A side part keeps the edge of the part along the face in a square instead of circular. Avoid the center part for a short bob. I also am thin and have a long neck which helps. When I was fat it was a less flattering style.

OMG, OP isn’t getting a pixie cut. Above the shoulders isn’t unflatteringly short.

Short hair is way better than long stringy hair on women who can’t get over the fact that they’re aging.

A good hairstylist is an artist, IMHO, and they sculpt your hair around your face. I'd ask him, "will this style work for my face/hair? if so, what length would be most flattering?"

Selena Gomez and Nicola Coughlan are two celebs with round faces that look fabulous in a bob.
