Pass/Fail or W options

Anonymous
Does anyone have experience with changing a class to pass/fail or withdrawing? We've been waiting for an answer, and in the meantime I looked on DCPS grading policy and don't see any deadlines or pertinent info.

TIA.

I can’t speak to P or F but I know withdrawing at this point leaves a W on the kid’s transcript. And school’s can’t just withdraw a kid from a class, it has to get approval from central office. But that W on the transcript doesn’t go away.

Are there extenuating circumstances?
My DC dropped a class after the date with no impact on transcript (the class was removed from transcript)
It needed to be approved by central office - and it happened.

Thanks so much. A W is okay. It’s not a required class. Extenuating circumstances, no. Except the grade could affect a circumstance post-grad.
