| We are planning to get DS an Apple Watch, he is 11 and finishing up 5th grade. Neither DH nor I have one and I have no clue how to set it up to minimize distractions, but even how to manage storage, contacts, etc. I have looked for some simple guides and come up short. Both of us have iphones at least as a starting point. This is making me feel really old! Would love some guidance or direction to good resources. Thank you! |

We were in the same situation last year and when we bought the watch, we got a free 30 minute consultation on the phone with a apple consultant. I would highly recommend taking them up on this.
One thing to know is that you can synch the watch to only one parents phone to do the controls, but both parents will be able to access the watch's location through "Find My Phone." Wait until you have the watch in hand to set it up, it makes more sense when you have it then in the abstrat. For what it's worth my DD is finishing sixth, not getting a phone until end of 7th and we have loved the watch. |
